what you should do and see while you're here

Fiordland is breathtakingly beautiful. Not surprisingly since it is a world heritage area. Although the area provides wonderful hiking opportunities, it can be equally appreciated from the air, on the water, or from the comfort of your car. For those of you with a more adventurous spirit the area has on offer sky-diving, kayaking, jet boating, horse riding, quad-biking, and sailing just to name a few.

The most popular destinations for those travelling to our area are Doubtful and Milford Sounds, but try to make time too for the Te Ana-au glow-worm caves, Te Anau’s bird park, and places of historical interest. Hunter will be able to tell you about the hiking tracks, where you can go to be completely alone or on the more popular tracks.

Let us know where your tastes lie and let us help you plan your Fiordland Experience.

how to get here

Our physical address is 313 Hillside-Manapouri Road.

If you are coming from Te Anau, travel to Manapouri and turn hard left at the sign that says Tuatapere and the Southern Scenic Route. Travel along this road 3 kms over the Home Creek bridge, past Home Creek nursery (slow down here) and our driveway is 150m on your left.

If you are coming from Queenstown turn left at the large sign that says Manapouri. Travel along here approx 12 kms. Just past the road that says Tuatapere (and the Southern Scenic route) you will travel along a straight with large pine trees on your right, a large hill with limestone bluffs to the left and our driveway is approximately 1km further on your right. It is quite a difficult turn from this direction so travel as far as Home Creek Nursery (just past our drive), do a U turn and travel back in the direction you came from. Our driveway is only 150m from the Nursery.

Travelling north on the Southern Scenic route from Invercargill follow signs to Manapouri and Te Anau. At the T junction with Hillside Road turn left towards Manapouri and you will travel along a straight with large pine trees on your right, a large hill with limestone bluffs to the left and our driveway is approximately 1km further on your right. As we mention above the turn is quite difficult from this direction so pass the drive and do a U turn. We are then just 150m from the Home Creek Nursery entrance on your left.
